Sollega Design Tool

Design FastRack layouts for commercial rooftops

A browser tool for laying out Sollega FastRack ballasted racking on flat and low-slope commercial roofs from satellite imagery. Get the ballast and structural results for your site, then send the design to Sollega as a request for quote.

The tool is invite-only for now. Request access with your work email and the Sollega team will email you when your team is approved. If your company is already set up, you can create your account straight away.

Built for commercial rooftop solar

For solar installers, EPCs and developers designing commercial rooftop PV on Sollega racking.

  • Lay out on the real roof

Outline the roof on satellite imagery, set its azimuth and keep access pathways clear, then draw arrays and set their tilt.

  • See the engineering as you go

Wind zones, ballast blocks, mid racks and mechanical anchors for each array, with system weight, reserve capacity and seismic displacement.

  • Hand off a complete request

Export the layout drawing, bill of materials, ballast and point load details and a PDF report, then submit the design to Sollega for a quote.

How it works

  1. Set up the project

Enter the site address, building and roof specs and your solar modules. The tool screens the roof against its limits when you enter the address.

  2. Draw the roof

Trace the roof outline on the satellite map, set the roof azimuth and add access pathways.

  3. Place and calculate arrays

Draw arrays, check the wind zones, and calculate ballast and anchors in the array editor.

  4. Request a quote

Generate the report and submit. The Sollega team reviews the design and follows up by email with pricing and lead times.

What the tool handles

It runs in a desktop browser (a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) with a mouse or trackpad.

Supported today

  • Rectangular flat roofs and ground mounts
  • Design wind speed up to 145 mph
  • Building height up to 100 ft
  • Roof slope up to 3° fully ballasted, or 7° hybrid ballast and anchored

Not in the tool yet

  • Arrays that span multiple roofs
  • Non-rectangular roofs, such as L or U shapes and curves
  • Roof decks at different heights

Sollega can still design these for you: email sales@sollega.com with the details.
